J.P. Walker, Esq., is a dynamic attorney with a proven track record of excellence in both public service and private practice. With a background rooted in criminal prosecution and a passion for justice, Walker brings a unique blend of experience, expertise, and dedication to every case he handles.
Walker earned his Bachelors Degree in Business/Managerial Economics from the State University of New York Cortland in 2017. He recevied his Juris Doctorate from the Charleston School of Law in 2021.
Upon graduating from law school, Walker embarked on a career dedicated to public service and the pursuit of justice. He began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney at the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office, where he served with distinction from January 2022 to May 2024.
During his tenure as an ADA, Walker handled a diverse caseload of over 200 felony cases, demonstrating exceptional legal acumen and a steadfast commitment to justice. He conducted multiple violent felony trials, presenting compelling arguments and securing favorable outcomes for the prosecution. Additionally, Walker utilized his strong legal research skills to prepare and argue motions and other legal documents.
Walker’s dedication to seeking justice extended beyond the courtroom, as he also presented over 50 cases for indictment to the Grand Jury. His comprehensive understanding of criminal law and his unwavering commitment to upholding the law earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and superiors.
In May 2024, Walker transitioned to private practice, joining the Gus Anastopoulo Law Firm as an Associate. In this role, he continues to advocate vigorously on behalf of his clients, leveraging his extensive trial experience and legal expertise to achieve favorable outcomes.
